Esther 8:17 And in every province and in every city, wherever the king’s command and his edict reached, there was gladness and joy among the Jews, a feast and a holiday. And many from the peoples of the country declared themselves Jews, for fear of the Jews had fallen on them.
Everywhere within the Persian empire that this news reached, the Jews in those places rejoiced exceedingly. They even celebrated the good news by having a feast and treating it as a holiday. And all of this, from Haman’s execution to Mordecai’s exaltation and from edict to edict, ended up leading people from all over the country to align themselves with the Jews. Why? Because just like what Haman’s wife understood (6:13), there is one true God and He protects and provides for His people.
What we have to remember is that God is using our suffering to lead people to the Truth.
